Gold prices jump by Rs. 4,000 in Sri Lanka’s local market

Gold prices in Sri Lanka have increased by around Rs. 4,000, according to traders in Colombo’s Sea Street.

The price of a 22-carat gold sovereign rose to Rs. 366,300 today (21), up from Rs. 362,600 recorded yesterday (20).

A 24-carat gold sovereign has climbed to Rs. 396,000 today, compared to Rs. 392,000 on Friday (19), reflecting the latest upward movement in the local bullion market.
