Giant passenger jet makes emergency landing at Bandaranaike International Airport

Emirates flight EK-434, traveling from Dubai to Brisbane, Australia, made an emergency landing at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Katunayake last night after a passenger onboard suddenly fell ill, media reported.

The passenger was immediately taken to hospital for further medical treatment.

The aircraft, an Airbus A380—one of the world’s largest passenger airliners—landed at BIA at approximately 7:15 p.m. and later departed for Brisbane at around 9:20 p.m.
