Leader of the Pivithuru Hela Urumaya and former MP Udaya Gammanpila says the alleged mastermind behind the 2019 Easter Sunday attacks, which the government has not yet disclosed, will be revealed to the country on March 31.
Addressing a media briefing held in Colombo today (16), Gammanpila said that after conducting research for about one and a half years, a book titled Finding the Mastermind of the Easter Sunday Attacks has been prepared.
He said the research-based book is scheduled to be launched on March 31 at 3.30 p.m. at the Sri Sambuddhatva Jayanthi Mandiraya in Colombo.
Gammanpila further stated that the Easter Sunday attacks have been politically exploited for the past seven years, claiming that governments were formed and toppled over the issue, while some soldiers were allegedly harassed and persecuted without evidence.
He added that the time has come to put an end to what he described as a long-standing controversy and said they are ready to reveal the alleged mastermind behind the attacks on March 31.
