The Victorian Government is offering a free food training course for young people to boost job opportunities in the hospitality industry.
Scheduled for April 16 in Colac Otway, the Food Handling course is open to individuals aged 15 to 25. Participants will learn essential skills such as food safety, preparation, catering, and hygiene.
Ashish Situla, Colac Otway Shire Council’s Community Services Manager, emphasized that the course will provide young people with a valuable advantage in the job market.
The training will take place on Wednesday, April 16, from 9:30 AM to 1:30 PM at Colac Neighbourhood House, 23 Miller Street, Colac. The council has confirmed that all arrangements are in place for the event.
