Four-member panel appointed to reevaluate Batalanda commission report

The Attorney General has appointed a four-member committee to review the contents of the Batalanda Commission Report.

The committee is chaired by Senior Additional Solicitor General Rohantha Abeysuriya, with Deputy Solicitor General Dilip Peiris, Senior State Counsel Jayani Wegodapola, and State Counsel Shakthi Jagoda Arachchi serving as members.

Their primary mandate is to assess whether the evidence presented in the Batalanda Commission Report is adequate to pursue criminal prosecutions.

The report was submitted to the Attorney General by the Presidential Secretariat, following directives issued by the President.
