Former Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison has been appointed Global Strategic Adviser to BLS International, an India-based company specialising in visa, consular and digital government services.

The company said Morrison will use his experience in trade, economic policy and international relations to help drive its long-term global growth and strengthen partnerships with governments around the world.
Morrison said he looks forward to supporting BLS International’s expansion, adding that future public services will require greater innovation, security, efficiency and citizen-focused digital solutions.
The appointment comes as Australia’s political debate over immigration intensifies, with the Liberal Party advocating tighter migration policies under Opposition Leader Angus Taylor.
BLS International, headquartered in New Delhi, delivers visa, passport, biometric and citizen services for governments in more than 100 countries and believes Morrison’s expertise will help expand its international footprint.
