Police confirmed that Thusitha Halloluwa, the Former Director of the National Lotteries Board (NLB), who had been evading court, was arrested early this morning (19th).
The Colombo Magistrate’s Court had issued a warrant for his arrest yesterday (18).
Colombo Additional Magistrate Pasan Amarasena made the order after considering submissions from the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD).
The CCD is investigating a recent shooting incident involving Halloluwa’s vehicle in Narahenpita, and the arrest warrant was issued upon a request made by police in connection with the ongoing inquiry.
