The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that it is closely monitoring requests from Sri Lankan workers in Israel and Iran who wish to return home.
This follows the recent escalation of tensions between the two countries, which has resulted in the closure of their respective airspaces.
The Ministry stated that repatriation arrangements will be made as soon as the airspaces are reopened.
Meanwhile, special emergency contact numbers have been provided for Sri Lankans in Israel and Iran to reach their respective embassies.
For further assistance, individuals can contact the Ministry of Foreign Affairs via 0112 325 373 or 0112 207 200, or visit the Ministry’s official website.
