
The first shipment of vehicles from Japan in five years is set to arrive in Sri Lanka today, following the lifting of the vehicle import ban.
According to Prasad Manage, President of the Vehicle Importers Association of Sri Lanka, the shipment, carrying around 300 vehicles, will dock at the Hambantota port and be delivered to customers who placed orders as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, a separate shipment of cabs imported from Thailand has already arrived. Manage also revealed plans to import over 3,000 vehicles in the coming months.
