A fire broke out in at least 18 temporary tents at the Maha Kumbh festival in Prayagraj, India, but fortunately, there were no reported injuries.
The blaze, which was caused by a gas cylinder explosion, was quickly contained by firefighters and police.
Smoke was seen billowing from the tent city, located at the confluence of the Ganges and Yamuna rivers, as dozens of firefighters worked to extinguish the flames.
The Maha Kumbh festival, the world’s largest religious gathering, began last Monday and is expected to attract over 400 million people over the next six weeks.
Authorities have set up a vast tent city to accommodate millions of pilgrims, complete with kitchens, toilets, hospitals, and other essential facilities.
To ensure safety and manage the large crowds, about 50,000 security personnel have been deployed across the city.
