Lapland is inviting tourists to take part in a unique summer treasure hunt, offering participants the chance to win a gold bar worth 20,000 euros (approximately $23,300).

The “Midnight Sun Hunt” will take place in Levi Ski Resort, a popular destination known for its winter ski slopes and spectacular Northern Lights, where visitors will follow clues leading to the hidden prize.
Beginning on June 18, participants can register and collect their first clue at the Levi Visitor Centre, with additional hints released throughout the summer to guide treasure hunters through local trails, landmarks, and attractions.
Organisers say the gold bar could be discovered at any stage of the hunt, while the final clue is scheduled to be revealed on August 22.
The initiative aims to showcase Lapland’s summer attractions, including hiking, mountain biking, river rafting, and the region’s famous midnight sun, which provides nearly 24 hours of daylight during parts of the season.
Officials have urged participants to respect the natural environment, noting that the hunt does not require digging or disturbing the terrain in any way.
