A large number of artistes, politicians, scholars and fans gathered last night to pay their final respects to the late singer Latha Walpola.
Her remains are currently lying at a private funeral parlour in Borella, where members of the public can pay their respects until 10.00 p.m. today.
The funeral ceremony of singer Latha Walpola is scheduled to be held tomorrow evening at Independence Square in Colombo with full state sponsorship.
Following the ceremony, her remains will be laid to rest at the Borella Cemetery.
