Fifth national oral health survey kicks off in Sri Lanka, says health ministry

The Ministry of Health announced that the Fifth National Oral Health Survey in Sri Lanka began yesterday (10 March 2026).

The Ministry stated that the survey will continue until the end of November 2026 and will be conducted across all districts of the island. Data collection is scheduled to take place in selected schools and households.

Meanwhile, the Principal Investigator of the National Oral Health Survey, Specialist Dr. Nilantha Ratnayake, urged the public to cooperate with the doctors visiting schools and homes to ensure the survey’s success.
