FIFA world cup 2026 presale to launch next week with 1 million tickets available

FIFA announced that the first phase of ticket sales for the 2026 World Cup will feature dynamic pricing, with prices starting at $60 and varying according to market demand.

The Visa Presale Draw will open on September 10 at 11:00 ET (15:00 CET) and run until September 19, giving qualifying Visa cardholders their first chance to secure tickets for the tournament in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Approximately 1 million tickets will be available during this presale phase, with group-stage matches starting at $60 and prices for later stages, including the final, reaching up to $6,730, FIFA’s Director of Ticketing and Hospitality, Falk Eller, said.

Fans entering the presale draw will be randomly assigned time slots to purchase tickets, but a successful entry does not guarantee availability. FIFA emphasized that dynamic pricing, similar to surge pricing used in airlines and hotels, will determine final ticket costs based on demand.

Additional sales phases will follow later in the year, and FIFA plans to introduce an official resale platform, allowing ticket holders to resell their tickets securely. Prices on the resale platform will not be capped, ensuring a regulated alternative to unofficial resale markets.

For Mexican residents, FIFA has partnered with PROFECO to create a resale platform that complies with local laws, enabling tickets to be sold at face value.
