The federal government has announced a price reduction for the drug Hosking, used to treat endometriosis, benefiting approximately 830,000 Australians under the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS).
This change will take effect from May 1, providing financial relief to those affected by the condition.
In December 2024, the government had also added Visanne, another endometriosis treatment, to the PBS.
Endometriosis remains a significant health concern in Australia, with billions of dollars spent annually on treatment and care.
