SriLankan Airlines has issued a scam alert warning the public about a fraudulent message circulating on WhatsApp and Facebook that falsely uses the airline’s name, logo, and official-looking brand images.
The airline stressed that the message is fake and urged the public to remain vigilant and avoid falling victim to the scam. SriLankan Airlines also clarified that it never requests personal details or payments through WhatsApp or any social media platforms.
Passengers and the general public have been advised not to click on suspicious links or share sensitive information such as NIC numbers, passport details, OTPs, or card information.
The airline further encouraged customers to verify any promotions or offers only through its official hotline, website, mobile applications, or verified social media pages.
