The Victorian Government has introduced a new initiative, Safe At Home, to support women and children experiencing domestic violence.
Announcing a $6 million investment in the program, the Victorian Minister for Family Violence Prevention emphasized that it aims to help survivors remain safe in their homes.
Officially launching in Geelong today, Safe At Home addresses the long-term impacts of domestic violence, including homelessness, social isolation, and disruptions to education and employment.
The Victorian Ministry for the Prevention of Family Violence further stated that the program will provide specialist support in housing, employment, child welfare, and cultural needs.
