According to the Road Development Authority, Sri Lanka’s expressway network generated over Rs. 163 million in revenue between April 10 and April 12.
Director General Anuradha Hettiarachchi stated that a total of 434,338 vehicles used the expressways during this three-day period.
On April 12 alone, the revenue reached Rs. 45 million, the RDA reported.
The authority also urged motorists to report any emergencies encountered on expressways by calling its 1969 hotline.
