Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe arrived at the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) a short while ago, according to the media.
He was summoned to provide a statement regarding his comments on MP Chamara Sampath Dassanayake’s alleged financial misappropriation during Dassanayake’s tenure as the Chief Minister of Uva Province.
Wickremesinghe was initially scheduled to appear before the Bribery Commission on 17th of April but had informed CIABOC of his inability to attend and requested to appear today instead.
