Emirates will increase flight frequencies on its Dubai-Colombo route in 2025, enhancing passenger capacity by 30%.
Starting 2nd of January 2025, Emirates will add a new daily flight on the Dubai-Colombo route to support Sri Lanka’s tourism ambitions and strengthen the air connection between the two destinations.
The new flight service, EK654/655, will initially operate six times a week until 31st of March 2025, with convenient schedules for connections to Emirates’ global network.
Beginning 1st of April 2025, the Dubai-Colombo route will expand to include a Wednesday flight, offering more flexibility and adjusted timings to better accommodate travelers.
Passengers will enjoy Emirates’ luxury service aboard Boeing 777 aircraft, featuring First Class suites, Business Class amenities, and Economy Class seats designed for comfort.
This expansion complements Emirates’ existing services, bringing the total daily flights between Dubai and Colombo to four, and underscores the airline’s strong partnership with Sri Lanka Tourism in promoting the island’s attractions.
Emirates’ nearly four-decade relationship with Sri Lanka has supported tourism and trade, with the airline carrying over 12 million passengers to and from Colombo and providing vital capacity for the country’s economic growth.
