Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Pvt) Limited has announced a “Full-Scale Airport Emergency Exercise” at Colombo International Airport, Ratmalana, on 12th of December 2024, from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The exercise is part of routine procedures aimed at testing and improving emergency preparedness, in line with national and international regulations.
Authorities have requested the public and media to remain calm and not mistake the exercise for a real emergency.
Sumith de Silva from Airport and Aviation Services reassured that the event is planned and poses no threat, urging the public to stay informed.
