Elon Musk accuses USAID of election interference

Elon Musk has alleged that USAID has interfered in elections by using financial resources for political purposes in certain countries.

Speaking at the White House alongside President Donald Trump, Musk expressed skepticism about USAID’s impact, stating that much of its funding was used in ways that were “dubious and do not stand the light of day.”

President Trump echoed Musk’s concerns, calling USAID “corrupt” and “incompetent” while emphasizing the need for transparency and legitimacy in government actions.

Meanwhile, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico has also raised concerns about USAID’s financial activities.

In a letter to Musk, Fico claimed that USAID provided millions of dollars in subsidies to NGOs, media outlets, and journalists in Slovakia to influence the country’s political system.

He further accused the agency of favoring specific political parties, stating that its actions distorted Slovakia’s political landscape.
