Australia’s next federal election, which will shape the country’s future, is set for on 3rd of May .
The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) expects that some “Donkey Votes”—ballots marked in the order candidates appear—will still be cast.
While some voters do this deliberately, others may do so unknowingly due to a lack of understanding of the voting process.
Under Australian law, “Donkey Votes” are not penalized and are still counted in the final tally.
The AEC urges voters to follow proper guidelines and make informed choices rather than casting “Donkey Votes.”
