A special awareness workshop on the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) was held on the 28th at the Ministry of Education, targeting senior ministry officials, according to the President’s Media Division (PMD).
The session aimed to demonstrate how AI can be used to transform the public service into a more efficient and productive system as part of the government’s broader digitisation initiative.
Secretary to the President, Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, emphasized the potential of AI to significantly improve the quality of the education sector.
Dr. Hans Wijayasuriya, Senior Advisor on Digital Economy, also stressed the Ministry of Education’s key role in supporting the government’s digital economy agenda and outlined plans for integrating AI into education.
