Suranga Wellalage, the father of Sri Lankan all-rounder Dunith Wellalage, passed away in Colombo after suffering a cardiac arrest.

On the same day of his father’s death, Dunith courageously took the field for Sri Lanka in their Asia Cup clash against Afghanistan.

At just 22 years old, Wellalage is considered one of Sri Lanka’s most promising cricketing talents.
