
The Ministry of Health has reported a rise in dengue cases in areas affected by the recent disaster.
Acting Director of the National Dengue Control Unit, Dr. Kapila Kannangara, said that the Gampaha and Kandy districts are among those recording a higher number of infections.
So far this year, a total of 2,170 dengue cases have been reported nationwide. Meanwhile, dengue risk conditions have been identified in 41 Medical Officer of Health (MOH) divisions across the country.
