The Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC) has reminded students that the timely application deadline for 2026 university entry is fast approaching.
To support students during the transition to a new portal, VTAC has extended the deadline for timely applications to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, 1st of October. Submitting before this date allows students to avoid late application fees while keeping their study options open.
After the deadline, application fees will increase, but preferences can still be updated at no extra cost once the initial application is lodged. VTAC has also extended the SEAS application deadline to Monday, 13th of October.
So far, over 40,800 Year 12 students have already applied through VTAC for 2026 entry, enabling them to focus on final exams with confidence.
Students and parents are encouraged to visit the VTAC website or YouTube channel for detailed guides, resources, and webinars on course applications, equity schemes, and scholarships.
