Talk show host and actor Danu Innasithamby has issued a public warning that scammers are misusing his name, image, and videos to promote fraudulent investment and trading schemes online.
In a statement released today, Innasithamby clarified that he has never endorsed or been involved in any online investment or trading platforms. The scams use manipulated videos and fake ads on Facebook, WhatsApp, and other platforms, featuring edited interviews and fabricated endorsements to appear credible.
“These scams deliberately target vulnerable people with false claims and fake testimonials,” he said, expressing concern over innocent victims losing their hard-earned money to these sophisticated frauds.
Innasithamby urged the public to stay cautious and asked his fans to report any misleading promotions using his identity to the authorities immediately.
“Let’s work together to put an end to this,” he added.
