
The Sri Lanka Customs Department has successfully cleared the backlog of import containers that had caused major congestion at the Colombo Port in recent weeks.
Customs Additional Director General and Media Spokesperson Seevali Arukgoda confirmed that the delays, which had disrupted port operations and supply chains, have now been resolved.
The expedited clearance process was completed in coordination with key stakeholders to ensure smoother cargo movement and minimize further delays.
With normal operations restored, authorities have assured importers and exporters of improved efficiency in handling shipments.
