The International Olympic Committee has approved the inclusion of cricket in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, marking the sport’s return to the Games after 128 years.
Cricket was last played in the Olympics in 1900 during the Paris Games.
This time, the tournament will feature six teams each in the men’s and women’s categories, played in the T20 format.
Organizers confirmed the decision on Wednesday, calling it a significant milestone for the sport on the global stage.
