Craig Lowndes to leave triple eight after 2025 season

Australian motor racing legend Craig Lowndes will depart Triple Eight Engineering at the end of the 2025 season after deciding not to renew his contract.

Lowndes has been with Triple Eight for two decades, having joined the team for the 2005 Supercars Championship. His partnership with the team has been one of the most successful in Australian motorsport history.

During his time with Triple Eight, Lowndes achieved over 110 Supercars Championship race wins, six Bathurst 1000 victories, and nine podium finishes in the Great Race.

Reflecting on his departure, Lowndes stated he has “nothing but good feelings and great memories” from his time with the team. He admitted the decision was tough but believes it is the best choice for his future.
