The Court of Appeal has granted permission to proceed with the examination of a revision petition filed by Yoshitha Rajapaksa seeking to overturn a Colombo High Court order related to a money laundering case.
The High Court had previously ruled that a conspiracy charge filed against him under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act could be maintained and proceed before court.
After considering the facts and submissions presented in the petition, the Court of Appeal decided to allow the matter to move forward for further examination.
Accordingly, the revision petition has been fixed for consideration on June 16.
