The Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court has imposed a foreign travel ban on former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa and two former military officers in connection with an ongoing investigation into the Easter Sunday terrorist attacks.

The order was issued by Magistrate Pasan Amarasena after the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) filed a motion requesting travel restrictions on the individuals concerned.
The travel ban also applies to former Army Colonel Mohomad Ansar and former intelligence officer Premananda Udalagama.
The court’s decision forms part of the continuing investigation into matters arising from the 2019 Easter Sunday attacks, with authorities pursuing further inquiries into the case.
