
A recent study on the walkability of major Asian cities for tourists has recognized Colombo, Sri Lanka, as one of the top cities where visitors can explore on foot.
The survey, conducted by Preply, ranked cities based on factors such as accessibility to public transport, ease of reaching prominent landmarks, availability of shopping options, clear road signs, and convenience for commercial transactions.
In the global ranking, Phnom Penh, Cambodia, secured 2nd place, while Dubai emerged as a top destination. Colombo ranked 14th, showcasing its potential as a pedestrian-friendly city for travelers.
Tokyo, Japan, secured 15th place, while other notable cities like Singapore, Mumbai, and Bangkok also made it to the list.
This recognition highlights Colombo’s appeal as a tourist destination that offers an accessible and enjoyable walking experience.
