Colombo Mayor Vraie Cally Balthazaar addressed a distinguished gathering of Ambassadors, High Commissioners, and members of the Sri Lankan community in Canberra, speaking on the theme of Women in Leadership at a luncheon hosted by the Sri Lankan High Commission in Canberra on March 26.
Her remarks were delivered as part of her official visit to Australia from March 21 to 29, 2026, under the Special Visits Program organized by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
According to the Sri Lankan High Commission in Canberra, the Mayor’s itinerary featured a series of high-level engagements with parliamentarians, mayors, senior officials, think tanks, and cultural institutions across Melbourne, Canberra, and Sydney.
