Colombo Mayor Vraie Cally Balthazaar is scheduled to visit Australia from 21 to 30 March under the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade Special Visits Program.
During the visit, she is expected to engage with government counterparts, local authorities, and policy institutions in Melbourne, Canberra, and Sydney.
The programme will focus on discussions and knowledge-sharing related to urban governance, sustainable city development, and the role of local governments in strengthening national resilience.
Mayor Balthazaar also expressed her appreciation to the Australian government for the invitation and arrangements, noting that the visit would contribute to enhancing local governance and development initiatives in Colombo.
