Clean SL initiative partners to upgrade Kotmale regional hospital facilities

Following the recent bus accident in the Garandiella area of Kotmale, many injured individuals were admitted to the Kotmale Regional Hospital for treatment.

In response, the “Clean Sri Lanka” programme partnered with local authorities to enhance the hospital’s facilities and improve sanitation, according to the President’s Media Division (PMD).

As part of this initiative, the programme focused on cleaning the hospital ward complex and surrounding premises to create a more comfortable environment for patient care and recovery.

A noteworthy feature of the effort was the active voluntary participation of the local community, who joined hands to support the hospital’s improvement.

The PMD further stated that the “Clean Sri Lanka” secretariat commended the commitment of the doctors and hospital staff, who provided emergency medical care to the injured despite facing limited resources.
