The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption has launched a centralized electronic system for submitting assets and liabilities declarations, marking an important step in digitizing Sri Lanka’s anti-corruption efforts.
The platform was introduced in line with the Anti-Corruption Act No. 9 of 2023 and was officially launched on March 30 at the Bandaranaike Centre for International Studies. It is now available for all required public officials to submit their declarations.
Under the new system, all designated public officials are required to submit their assets and liabilities declarations exclusively through this electronic platform. CIABOC will manage and regulate the system as part of its mandate to promote transparency, accountability, and proper oversight.
Officials say the new digital platform will improve monitoring of financial disclosures, increase compliance, and strengthen enforcement under the country’s anti-corruption framework.
