The newly appointed Defence Attaché of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Sri Lanka, Senior Colonel FU Xiao, recently paid a courtesy call on Defence Secretary Air Vice Marshal (Retd) Sampath Thuyacontha at the Ministry of Defence.
During the meeting, both sides held cordial discussions on matters of mutual interest, including bilateral defence cooperation and related security affairs, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Defence.
The Deputy Defence Attaché and the Naval Attaché of the Chinese Embassy in Sri Lanka also attended the meeting.
