
President Anura Kumara Dissanayake met with His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith, Archbishop of Colombo, and members of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Sri Lanka (CBCSL) at the Presidential Secretariat yesterday morning .
During the meeting, Cardinal Ranjith briefed the President on key matters discussed at the tri-annual Bishops’ meeting. The Archbishop and other Bishops also shared the views and proposals currently emerging within the Catholic Church.
The delegation was led by Bishop Harold Anthony Perera, President of the CBCSL. The meeting, held in a cordial atmosphere, focused on issues important to both the Catholic community and wider society, according to the President’s Media Division (PMD).
