British cabinet minister Steve Reed said there is no credible assessment supporting claims that Iran is planning ballistic missile strikes on Europe or has the capability to do so.
Speaking to BBC, Reed stated that he is not aware of any intelligence suggesting Iran is targeting European cities or could carry out such attacks.
His comments came after the Israel Defence Forces claimed on social media that Iran possesses missiles capable of reaching London, Paris, or Berlin. Reed dismissed these claims, saying there is no evidence to substantiate them.
In a separate interview with Sky News, Reed addressed remarks by Donald Trump, noting that the U.S. president was speaking for himself when he warned of potential action against Iran.
Reed emphasized that Britain will not be drawn into conflict but will safeguard its interests and continue working with allies to reduce tensions in the region.
