
British High Commissioner Andrew Patrick praised Sri Lanka’s swift progress in achieving economic stabilization under its current leadership.
He noted that the country is heading in a positive economic direction, which deserves recognition.
During a meeting with Deputy Finance Minister Dr. Harshana Suriyapperuma, Mr. Patrick discussed Sri Lanka’s economic status and future plans.
The High Commissioner expressed his commitment to supporting the export of Sri Lankan goods, such as organic crops, garments, and natural beauty products, to the UK market.
He also announced plans for a British business delegation to visit Sri Lanka next year to explore investment opportunities.
Additionally, Mr. Patrick commended Sri Lanka’s successful international sovereign bond restructuring and effective implementation of the IMF program.
