A popular toy for babies and toddlers sold at Kmart and Target has been recalled due to serious safety concerns, including the risk of choking or injury.
The Anko Pop and Surprise Playset was found to contain small screws that could detach and pose a choking hazard, the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) stated in its recall notice. “Incidents have occurred,” the notice added.
The toy, designed for children under three, was sold in stores and online between January 16, 2020, and 7th of November 2025. The recall applies to two batch codes of the Vietnamese-made product: Kmart code 42821427 and Target code 69576577, which can be found on the bottom of the toy.
Customers are advised to stop using the toy immediately and keep it out of reach of children. It can be returned to the store of purchase for a full refund.
