An awareness session will be held on March 31 to educate the trading community and other stakeholders on a new online mechanism aimed at preventing malpractices at the NCT Exit Gate of the Colombo Port.
The programme is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. under the patronage of Director General of Customs Seevali Arukgoda.
The session will introduce the proposed digital system, which is expected to be implemented soon to improve transparency and streamline operations at the port. Clearing agents, transport operators, and other related stakeholders have been invited to participate.
Sri Lanka Customs Media Spokesman Chandana Punchihewa urged all relevant parties to attend, stressing the importance of the programme in ensuring awareness and the smooth adoption of the new system.
