Australia’s petrol shed to be fully automated

Australia is preparing to roll out fully automated petrol stations across the country, with plans led by AMPOL, one of the largest petrol sales networks in the nation.

The company intends to implement this program at its U-Go petrol station centers.

Currently, seven fully automated stations are scheduled to be established in New South Wales, five in Queensland, four in South Australia, and three in Victoria.

The Petroleum Retailers Association attributes this shift to the growing number of electric vehicles in Australia and the decreasing availability of workers willing to staff traditional petrol stations.

However, the Australian Petroleum Retailers Association has expressed concerns about the challenge of keeping fully automated petrol stations open 24 hours a day.
