Australia is experiencing its largest voter turnout in history this year.
The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) reports that the electoral roll has increased by approximately 710,000 voters compared to 2022.
As a result, all Australian citizens who have turned 18 must register to vote before 8:00 pm on April 4.
Those who fail to register and vote will face a $20 fine.
AEC spokesman Alex Morris highlighted that the high voter registration rate is a positive sign for the election.
