All arrangements have been finalized to host the grand “Melbourne Surya Udanaya 2025” New Year’s Eve celebration, the biggest of its kind outside Sri Lanka, tomorrow.
Organized by the Northern Victorian Sri Lankan Welfare and Cultural Association of Australia, this marks the 11th edition of the popular celebration, which will take place at ANZAC Park, Craigieburn, from 8 a.m. on Sunday, April 13.
This year’s event will feature a lively Street Food Carnival, cultural performances, traditional New Year rituals, and fun-filled games and competitions for all age groups.
Australia’s top Sri Lankan media network, Auslanka TV and Auslanka Radio, is once again the proud media sponsor.
A large crowd, including members of the Sri Lankan community, is expected to attend, with music provided by the popular band “Mystery.”
Exciting prizes await winners of various competitions, including traditional New Year games and the New Year dinner table contest.
A new addition this year is a special raffle draw, with air tickets to Sri Lanka as the main prizes and multiple consolation rewards.
