Australian university student data leaked

A cyberattack has targeted the personal information of students at the University of Western Sydney, leading to the leak of data from around 10,000 current and former students.

The university confirmed that unauthorized access to the sensitive information occurred during February and March.

Affected students are being notified, and security measures will be communicated to them.

The New South Wales Cyber Crime Unit is currently investigating the breach.
