Australia’s latest Graduate Outcomes Survey has revealed stronger employment prospects for university graduates, with more students successfully transitioning into the workforce after completing their studies.

The survey found that 75.4 per cent of undergraduate graduates secured full-time employment within four to six months of finishing university, up from 74 per cent the previous year, highlighting continued demand for skilled workers.
Graduate participation in the labour market also remained strong, with employment or active job-seeking rates reaching 88 per cent for undergraduates, 93 per cent for postgraduates, and around 92 per cent for postgraduate researchers.
The report also showed a growing number of Australians are moving between university and Vocational Education and Training (VET), reflecting greater flexibility in education and career pathways.
The findings reinforce the value of higher education while highlighting the increasing connection between universities, vocational training and Australia’s evolving workforce needs.
