With the arrival of the new year, Australia’s first baby of the Beta Generation was born at 12:05 am on 1st of January at Port Macquarie Base Hospital in New South Wales.
Named Baby Remi, this baby girl is part of a generation predicted to witness the 22nd century.
Her birth marks the first Australian birth of 2025.
Interestingly, her parents mentioned that had she been born a few minutes earlier, she would have been the last Australian baby of 2024.
What makes Baby Remi’s arrival even more special is that she is the first child of her parents.
Meanwhile, in Victoria, the first baby of 2025, Baby Hannah, was born at 12:16 am, setting the record for the region’s first birth of the new year.
